About the role

An opportunity is now available for a reliable and enthusiastic person willing to provide great service to our expanding customer base, delivering from one of our modern fleet of trucks.

Role and Responsibilities:

Operate a truck or delivery vehicle safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.

Transport goods to and from specified locations according to schedule.

Inspect and verify goods before departure and upon arrival.

Perform routine pre-start checks and maintenance on the truck, including oil changes, tire checks, and brake inspections.

Report any mechanical issues or vehicle malfunctions to the managers.

Keep the vehicle clean and ensure it is in good working order.

Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure the safety of oneself, other road users, and the goods.

Comply with federal and state regulations, including those related to hazardous materials if applicable.

Communicate effectively with customers, handling any issues or concerns professionally.

Ensure proper handling of goods to prevent damage and provide excellent service.

Complete and submit all necessary documents, including proof of delivery, inspection reports, and incident reports.

Assist with loading and unloading goods.

Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to ensure efficient operations.

Skills/Qualification:

Minimum qualification of year 12 in Australia or Overseas

Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Must have 2 years’ experience of driving in Australia/Overseas

Valid C-Class Driver Licence Minimum

Strong driving skills and knowledge of road safety regulations.

Ability to handle physical tasks, including loading and unloading goods.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move heavy objects.

Prolonged periods of sitting while driving.

Occasional exposure to adverse weather conditions.

Work Environment:

Primarily on the road, may also including loading dock and customer places.

May involve irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
