HR TRUCK DRIVER & SEAFOOD SALESPERSON

The Pilbara Fish Truck is a small family business located in Karratha that sells premium local quality seafood to the people of the Pilbara, Kimberley and Goldfields.

The role will entail driving a HR truck from town to town and then selling prepackaged frozen seafood to our loyal customers. There will also be ad hoc duties including loading trucks, cleaning trucks and minor maintenance.

The role is a just over an even time roster (approx. 210 days per year) as FIFO ex Perth on a 16-24 days on 12-20 days off.

Essential Criteria

• HR truck manual licence
• Physically fit and can lift up to 25kg in needed
• Trustworthy and friendly
• Can engage in small talk and remember customer details
• Desire to upsell and make more commission from sales
• Willing to work in extreme temperatures both +45 and - 25
• Hard working and can follow instructions
• Love Aussie seafood
• Willing to sleep in truck (airconditioned but only standard single mattress 190cm long) and be away from home for long periods of time

Desirable Criteria

• Previous retail experience
• Very basic mechanical knowledge
• Experience driving long distance

Role

• Drive to designated town and put out signs to let customers know your there
• Serve customers for the day
• Drive to designated rest area to sleep in truck; then
• Repeat for the designated length of trip

Roster and Remuneration

• Must be available 2 weeks prior to Christmas and one week prior to Easter
• Remuneration of between $110k to $130k with additional sales bonuses (approx. $10k to $30k+). If motivated to make extra sales it could be very lucrative.
