About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Trade Assistant with fabrication experience or a Boilermaker / T/A to support our Electrical team at the Tronox Chandala site, located 50km north of Perth CBD.
The role involves fabrication and installation of cable ladder and brackets, along with assisting the team on various electrical maintenance and project works in a Trade Assistant capacity.
Reporting directly to the Curtis Electrical Site Supervisor, you will be expected to:
Follow all site safety rules and instructions actively participating in meetings as required
Complete all safety documentation and associated permits to a high standard
Complete all Curtis Electrical electronic job notes and test sheets on SimPro to a high standard.
There will also be a requirement to assist with ad hoc works at the Cooljarloo mine site, approximately one hour north of Chandala.
Skills and experience you can offer us:
Strong knowledge of electrical principles
Demonstrated experience in fabricating
Competent with working at heights and with the use of boom / scissor lifts.
Positive attitude, motivated and dedicated
Ability to build and establish strong rapport with clients
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
High level of safety awareness and OH&S standards
Ability to follow correct procedures
Organization and time management
Reliable working in a small team environment, supporting others and contributing to shared goals but also being able to work independently with minimal direction
The successful candidate must have prior to commencement:
Practical fabrication, welding, and site installation experience is essential
Industrial Trade Assistant experience, Electrical TA highly regarded
Stainless Steel welding experience is required
EWP High Risk License – must have demonstrated EWP experience
Forklift Licence
Valid Working at Heights certification
Current valid driver’s license (manual preferred)
Australian citizen or resident with full rights to work in Australia
Be drug and alcohol free and be able to pass pre-employment and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing
Desirable:
Competent with SimPro
Confined Spaces
LVR / CPR
Location and Details
Tronox Processing Plant - Muchea site located roughly 30 minutes’ drive north of Ellenbrook or 30 minutes’ drive east of Joondalup. The successful candidate must reside within 1 hour driving distance of the site and be willing to travel to site in your own transport.
Average work days are 9 hours Monday to Friday (9 day fortnight). Saturdays available dependent on workload where weekend rates are applied.
