About the role

We are seeking an experienced Butcher Store Manager to join our team in Bundaberg, Queensland. This up coming full-time position is integral to the day-to-day operations and long-term success of our busy butcher shop. As Butcher Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the store's operations, from staff management to inventory control and customer service. The role is expected to become available during the month of October 2025.

What you'll be doing

Manage and lead a team of butchers and counter staff, ensuring high standards of customer service and product quality

Monitor and maintain stock levels, ordering supplies and materials as needed

Implement effective inventory control systems and procedures

Handle cash management and banking responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations

Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales and footfall

Liaise with suppliers and participate in business planning and decision-making

What we're looking for

Extensive experience as a qualified Butcher, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities

Proficient in inventory management and stock control

Sound financial management skills, including cash handling and banking

Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the food retail industry

Passion for the butchery trade and a commitment to delivering high-quality products
