About the Role
St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne is seeking a number of passionate and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) and Endorsed Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to join the Nurse Workforce Unit's Casual Nurse Bank team (acute medical and surgical, subacute, residential aged care and selected specialty area streams).

About the Nurse Workforce Unit
SVHM adopts a centralised nurse workforce model. This means that all casual bank nurses are employed under the nurse workforce unit casual nurse bank team, regardless of where they work within the organisation. The Health-e-Workforce platform is utilised by the nurse workforce team to offer shifts fair and equitably to all casual bank nurses.
About the Position
Working across dynamic settings, you will be required to use your exceptional clinical skills to efficiently and accurately plan, coordinate and evaluate care needs to ensure high quality.
We are looking ENs and RNs with 12 months of experience for a casual role. The casual nature of employment allows for flexible rostering depending on supplementary staffing demand.
The classification for this position will range between (dependent on qualification):
Enrolled Nurse - IB84 - IB88 ($66,856.40 - $71,141.20 per annum).
Registered Nurse - ZU3 - ZU11 ($67527.2 - $95,378.40 per annum) pro rata.
Your contribution and About You
- Current condition free registration with AHPRA - Bachelor in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing
- Minimum 12 months experience **
- Demonstrated ability to nurse a diverse range of patients and adapt to different work practices and environments.
- The ability to maintain a high level of communication with patients, staff and visitors.
- Commitment to working a minimum of 2 shifts per month.
- Valid NDIS check or willingness to obtain.
- Valid Police Check or willingness to obtain.
** 12 months experience refers to experience in both the specific role and clinical area you wish to work in. For example, if you are an EN with 12 months EN experience, but no RN experience, you may not meet the selection criteria for an RN casual bank role. Additionally, 12 months of nursing experience relates to the clinical areas this experience was undertaken in, for example, with 12 months of RN experience in residential aged care, you may not meet the selection criteria to work in acute clinical settings.
