About the Role

ECR is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Technical Support Officer/Engineer to join HRC's (Hyundai Rotem Company), NSW operations at the Kangy Angy Maintenance facility. In this role, you’ll provide essential technical support, fault analysis, and maintenance guidance for our contracted fleet of intercity trains.

Key Responsibilities:

First-line fault identification and fault mitigation for rolling stock

Support Technicians with complex fault finding and maintenance activities

Analyse and interpret system and sub-system data logs

Collaborate with engineering teams on system and component failure investigations

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintenance procedures

Liaise with internal teams and external service providers daily

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Certificate IV in Avionics, Marine (or similar) OR Engineering degree in Electrical or Mechanical

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Email

Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment

High-level knowledge of New Intercity Fleet (NIF) operating systems and processes is desirable

Prior experience in rolling stock operations or maintenance (preventative/corrective)
