About the role

As an Occupational Therapist your responsibilities will include:

To balance own caseload incorporating clinic and community clients

Assist clients to enhance safety and independence within their home through home assessments and treatment follow ups. (Education, retraining, home modification, and demonstration of aids and/or equipment)

Work collaboratively with clients, support workers and relevant service providers to establish a therapy program that reflects goals, self-management, independence, and quality of life to an attainable level.

Liaising closely with other health professional bodies to achieve outcomes reflective of client’s goals

Use robotics and computer based devices to improve and maximise client function

Providing detailed reports to various internal and external stakeholders

Assist clients in procuring aids, assistive technology, and home modifications through various funding bodies

To be Successful in this Role you will have:

A qualification in Occupational Therapy and be AHPRA registered

At least 2 years experience as an Occupational Therapist

An interest in rehabilitation and robotics

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, manage time effectively and complete activities

A current and clean Australian Driver’s License.
