About the role
Meadows Hotel is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager / Events Manager to join our team in our hotel. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in supporting day to day operations, as well as coordinating and overseeing events and functions at our venue.
What you'll be doing
Assisting in overseeing daily hotel operations of the venue, staffing, and service delivery
Coordinate and oversee events and functions, ensuring seamless planning and execution
Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction
Manage and train a team of food and beverage staff, ensuring high levels of customer service and operational efficiency
Monitor and control budgets, inventory, and costs to ensure profitability
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the hotel's hospitality operations
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role or events management role, preferably in a hotel or resort setting
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to understand and meet the needs of diverse clientele
Proficient in budgeting, inventory management, and cost control procedures
Demonstrated success in planning and executing successful events and functions
Thorough understanding of relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred
