About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our team at Saroor Restaurant in Fremantle, Western Australia. As our Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations and leading a team of passionate chefs to deliver an exceptional dining experience to our guests. This is a full-time position.

What you'll be doing

Developing and implementing innovative, high-quality menu items that showcase modern Indian cuisine

Managing kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management

Ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards

Collaborating with the management team to control food costs and improve profitability

Promoting a positive and productive working environment in the kitchen

Continuously researching food trends and implementing new techniques and flavours

Strong knowledge and experienced in curries as Head chef ,will be running curry section

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role, preferably in a modern Indian or fine dining restaurant

Proven track record of creating innovative, high-quality menu items and leading a successful kitchen team

Excellent knowledge of Indian cuisine and a passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

Proficient in food cost control, inventory management, and budgeting

Commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
