Buildcraft WA has an exciting opportunity for an experienced qualified Carpenter to join our growing team working in the Northwest of WA. So, a willingness to travel is a must. This role will be working out of Newman initially and then moving on to project renovations after 1 or 2 swings. Swings are either 2:1 or 2:2 with 10 hour days. The area covered is between Mount Magnet, Meekatharra, Newman, Tom Price and Port Hedland. FIFO & DIDO (on occasion in a company vehicle.)

Duties and responsibilities will include:

General carpentry and joinery duties such as measure, cut, or shape materials

Fencing.

Make safe maintenance.

Install structures and fixtures, such as door & window repairs/replacement.

Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.

Decking, patio’s, stair and landing repairs.

Basic patching / painting (walls, ceilings and skirtings).

Ceiling and plasterboard removal, patching and re-sheeting.

General labour / site clean-up.

Deliveries and materials loading /unloading.

Accurately recording time, equipment and materials used.

Carry out assigned work in a timely, professional, and proficient manner.

Skills and Experience required:

Carpentry with 5+ years post trade experience.

The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a small team.

A strong focus on safety and quality standards.

The right to work in Australia.

Construction White Card.

Working at Heights Certificate (or willing to obtain).

Current drivers licence.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient with the use of power and hand tools.

Experience in Setting and in Wall / Floor tiling is also very advantageous.
