The Role – Intermediate Accountant | Business Services

This is the ideal opportunity if you’ve got a solid base in business services and are ready to level up. You’ll work closely with managers and seniors to deliver compliance and advisory support to a wide range of clients. Expect a mix of hands-on client work, technical development, and gradual exposure to more complex matters — all in a genuinely supportive environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing tax returns and financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals
• Assisting with BAS/IAS preparation and lodgement
• Supporting the preparation of management reports, forecasts, and basic cashflows
• Helping with year-end reviews and tax planning tasks
• Working closely with seniors and managers to service client needs
• Getting involved in process improvements and workflow tools
• Learning how to identify advisory opportunities and add value beyond compliance
• Participating in internal training sessions and knowledge sharing
• Potential exposure to SMSF work (if you’re interested)

What You’ll Bring

• 2–3 years’ experience in a public practice/business services role
• CA or CPA in progress (we’ll support you every step of the way)
• Working knowledge of cloud accounting software (Xero, MYOB, etc.)
• A genuine interest in working closely with clients and learning how to deliver advice
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and a willingness to learn
• A team mindset — someone who enjoys collaborating and supporting others
