At K-Life We're for Life. We are looking for people who are passionate about water safety and community wellbeing. We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Casual Pool Lifeguards for the upcoming season commencing in September 2025.

The Killarney Swimming Pool is a community hub offering a heated 25 metre pool for all ages, with family friendly amenities like a babies pool, BBQ's, Table Tennis and lounge areas. Open from September through to April, the pool offers daily fitness and relaxation, with weekday morning and afternoon hours along with weekend midday to evening hours.

If you are committed to promoting an active and healthy lifestyle through quality recreation facilities, your role will include:

Proactively patrolling pool deck to ensure patron safety and reduce potential risks and hazards

Maintaining a friendly and professional presence, with a strong focus on customer service and clear communication

Performing manual tasks related to pool cleaning ensuring water quality and facility upkeep

Being flexible and available to work across morning and afternoon shifts including weekends

Work Collaboratively with fellow staff, schools, swim clubs, contractors and other stakeholders to support a vibrant and inclusive aquatic community

This is a casual position, staff may be called upon at short notice to help cover staff leave or unexpected abscences.

To succeed in this role you'll bring:

A current Pool Lifeguard Certificate or willingness to obtain, the skills to respond swiftly and effectively in emergency situations.

Learn to Swim Certificate would be advantageous

First Aid qualification to ensure the wellbeing of patrons

Strong Communication Skills

Strong Fitness & Situational Awareness

Understanding of Workplace, Health & Safety and Child Protection Responsibilities

Blue Card
