About the Opportunity
Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Technologist Grade 2 to join our high-performing, specialized cardiac unit. This casual position is ideal for a cardiac sonographer who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
You will be working alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and supportive environment that values clinical excellence and continuous learning.
In this role, you will contribute across a range of Cardiac Physiology and Technology services, with a strong focus on performing high-quality cardiac ultrasound examinations. You will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in assessing patients with complex cardiac conditions, ensuring accurate diagnostics and contributing to optimal patient outcomes. What You'll be Doing
- Improve and maintain the health of the residents of the Bankstown Local Government Area, through the provision of quality, accessible and appropriate acute and chronic health services, which are orientated to improved health outcomes and evidence-based practice.
- Independently perform and issue preliminary reports for cardiac ultrasounds.
- Communicate with other hospital staff about results of ultrasound studies.
- Assist with other duties in cardiac diagnostics as needed.
- Cultivate the development of staff to achieve a learning and teaching organizational culture.

Where You'll Be Working
Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is located in the city of Bankstown and is in one of the most multicultural local government areas (LGA) in Australia. This hospital has tertiary affiliations with three universities and offers a range of roles and experiences to employees.
The hospital receives highly diverse presentations in ED as well as having general medical and surgical services and sub-specialty services across the hospital. - Diploma of Medical Ultrasound (Cardiac), Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound or recognised equivalent.
- Registered with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry as fully trained sonographer.
- Demonstrated ability to provide cardiac sonography services to patients in a professional, courteous, respectful and gentle manner while at the same time maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion at all times.
- Recent experience in Cardiac Diagnostics
- Competency in ECG interpretation and Cardiac Anatomy.
- Demonstrated time management, organisational and communication skills.
- Computer competency
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team while supporting a harmonious work environment.
