HR Manager – Contract Role (Health Sector)
Location: Geelong (with 1 day/week travel to Ballarat)- Hybrid set up
Contract Duration: 4–6 months (potential to extend or transition to permanent)
Start Date: Immediate
A leading health-focused organisation in western Victoria is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead a critical period of organisational transformation. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a values-driven, community-focused environment committed to improving health outcomes across the region.
Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will play a key role in delivering a company-wide restructure, including managing workforce realignment. You will also be responsible for building a fit-for-purpose HR function that supports strategic growth, compliance, and a positive workplace culture, as well as taking care of HR hygiene as a whole.
This is a hands-on, strategic, and operational role ideal for a senior HR professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is confident navigating both executive-level strategy and day-to-day execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the HR component of an immediate organisational restructure, including planning and delivery
- Partner with executive leadership to align people strategy with transformation goals
- Provide expert guidance on organisational design, workforce planning, and change communication
- Oversee HR operations, compliance, and policy development
- Implement and optimise HRIS/CRM systems
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and performance frameworks
- Support employee relations, engagement, and offboarding processes
About You You are a senior HR generalist with a proven track record in leading HR through restructures and organisational change. You bring a pragmatic, people-first approach and are confident working across both strategic and operational domains.
You will bring:
- Extensive experience in senior HR roles, ideally within complex or health sector organisations
- Demonstrated success in managing restructures, mergers, and workforce transitions
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR systems
- Experience implementing HRIS/CRM platforms
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills
