Kinephonics has developed a next generation, scientific data metric to underpin evidence based outcomes to a healthy, educated, and productive nation. Our Saas tool provides utility to language, literacy and learning, and measures improvement via neurological pathways. We present this process in a way that’s engaging, inclusive, and human.

What we’re looking for

Strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team (health professionals, educators, marketing, sales, and engineers)

Self-motivated and proactive - comfortable working without fully scoped specs, using initiative to align with the company mission and goals

A degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

A few years of hands-on coding experience with the development lifecycle

Proficient in building web applications using Next.js and React

Skilled in Kotlin and TypeScript within MVC architecture

Experienced in developing and deploying applications on cloud platforms

What you’ll be doing

Collaborating across disciplines: You’ll work closely with designers, educators, health professionals, marketing, and sales. Translating technical concepts into clear, accessible ideas. You’ll help the team understand how features work, why they matter, and how they’re progressing, ensuring everyone stays aligned and informed.

Improving team workflows: Helping the team stay in sync by maintaining clear processes, ensuring visibility across projects.

Driving the team forward: Managing the Jira board, helping prioritise work, unblocking tasks, and ensuring bugs are squashed and features progress toward release.

Writing and shipping production code: You’ll contribute directly to the codebase, building new features, improving existing ones, and solving technical challenges across the stack.

Maintaining high code quality: We value clean, debuggable, and intentional code. You’ll refactor for scalability, clarity, and consistency. Not just to ship, but to build something meaningful and maintainable.

Using AI thoughtfully: We support using AI tools, but only to improve and not rush our code. You’ll help us ensure AI-assisted code meets our quality standards.

Overseeing deployments: Managing feature releases, coordinating with the team to ensure smooth rollouts, and keeping everyone informed and aligned.

Testing and polishing: You’ll be hands-on with testing and debugging new features to ensure the user experience is smooth and intuitive, always with the customer in mind.
