The highly specialised job and pricing validations knowledge required includes the following:
Enterprise Transformation Project (ETP) will deliver QBE’s new insurance platform and the associated ecosystem
• Testing the Guidewire module
• Peril look up logic validations from DAP
• Work closely with pricing team and support and premium validations
• Develop Automation scripts for test execution
• Returned parameters from Earnix are passed to GW validations

About the role :

Roles and responsibilities:
• Involvement in the requirement discussions and contributing to test planning, execution and reporting.
• Co-ordinating with Business, BA and development teams for requirement clarification and testing support, Issue Analysis, Evidence review.
• Preparing query log and closing of queries with proper requirement clarifications from BA.
• System Integration Test (SIT) & User Acceptance Test (UAT) test support for IT/Business stakeholders for testing in SIT/UAT environment.
• Test preparation activities such as writing test scenarios, test cases, test requirement traceability/execution matrix
• Defect Management - Creating defects and tracking until closure with proper root cause and resolution.
• Walkthrough of test scenarios, test cases and test results to the business in UAT testing for sign off.

Skills and experience :

4 years of Software Industry experience as a tester in Insurance domain. Experience in Digital SME, Vulnerable Customer, Project North, FARM Pricing, QM Document Library and Enterprise Transformation Pricing projects in the QBE Australia.
• Exposure on Guidewire Product Suite - Policy Center, Claim Center and Billing Center across Policy and Claim Transactions in v8 and v10.
• Experienced in using Jira for test plan, execution, and defect reporting.
• Possessing extensive knowledge of working in SIT, Regression & UAT Testing Phases.
• Rich experience in core applications such as cChange, Evolve, Elders (IW), Steadfast, Sunrise Winbeat, FI Affinity, DigiSME and Starling.
• Having knowledge on peril look up logic in DB tables, relativity look up in Evolve smart tables and peril data mockup in GNAF & FALLBACK tables in pricing validation.
