The Role

We need another passionate person to join our team in beautiful Gunnedah, NSW and help us keep our residents shining… is this person you!? Leisure and Lifestyle workers are such an integral part of our team and we a looking for a new team member who loves making a positive difference in people’s lives. You will have the experience in the expected areas such as planning activities, social engagement and helping to promote a happy, healthy lifestyle. But more importantly you will hold our resident’s quality of life in the highest regard.
About you:
As well as having a passion for all things Leisure and Lifestyle, you will ideally have previous experience working in a similar role. Having previously delivered person centred care to all residents, including those with dementia and challenging behaviours, you know how to tailor your activities to be highly inclusive and engaging to all. After all, social inclusion and enjoyment is the aim of the game! Furthermore, you will have:
- Cert III Individual Support / Cert IV in Leisure & Lifestyle
- Proven skills and ability to adapt to individual needs to communicate effectively
- Good understanding of WHS principles to ensure the ongoing safety of our residents
- Excellent computer skills
- Unrestricted drivers licence
- Bus licence or willingness to obtain (and drive the bus of course!)
- Highly creative – love a bit of arts and crafts!
- Most importantly – love making a positive difference in someone’s day!
