The Role
As a Home Care Rostering Coordinator, you will be responsible for efficiently coordinating and scheduling home care services for clients in accordance with their individual needs and preferences. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our home care services, maintaining client satisfaction, and optimizing staff utilization.
Full time position, 76hr fortnight for working in our Moama Site with the possibility of working hybrid once fully settled with the role.
Rostering and Administration
Deliver rosters accurately and in a timely manner.
Complete administrative tasks efficiently and on schedule.
Work under limited supervision and direction.
Ensure smooth and high-quality day-to-day rostering and administrative operations.
Operational Management
Ensure realistic and reasonable travel times are scheduled between client services for Home Care Employees, using a guideline of 30–60 minutes between services.
Reallocate brokerage hours to part-time Home Care Employees who have vacant hours and have not yet met their contracted hours, ensuring optimal utilisation of internal staff.
Ensure accurate allocation of rostered hours to the correct cost centre for all Home Care Programs.
Ensure Home Care Employee timesheets are submitted fortnightly on Fridays, and cross-check submitted timesheets against rostered hours for accuracy.
Report any discrepancies between submitted timesheets and roster allocations to the Supervisor – Home Care, and follow through with any corrective actions as advised.
Quality, Risk & Governance
Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, SCC policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
Undertake all mandatory Work Health and Safety (WHS) training as required by SCC to maintain current knowledge of workplace safety responsibilities.
Report all incidents, accidents, near misses, and potential hazards within 24 hours in accordance with SCC policies and procedures.
Take appropriate preventative actions to manage or mitigate risks in line with SCC’s WHS guidelines.
Consider WHS requirements and safe practices when travelling for work, in accordance with SCC travel and safety policies.

Demonstrate professional behaviour at all times, in alignment with SCC’s values, mission, vision, and Code of Conduct.
Contribute to team meetings and planning days in a respectful and professional manner, valuing the input of all team members.
Work collaboratively and cohesively within the team to achieve key outcomes and objectives set by SCC.
Stakeholder, Community & Strategic Collaboration
Communicate professionally and promptly with all stakeholders via email, telephone, and mail
Develop and maintain key internal and external stakeholder relationships
Attend meetings and forums as required
Requirements
Previous experience in rostering, scheduling, or coordination roles, preferably in the healthcare or home care sector.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, staff, and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in computer software and scheduling systems, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation.
Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think creatively to resolve scheduling challenges.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards governing home care services is desirable.
