We're seeking two AO8 Managers to lead our regional Manufacturing Hubs - one based in Toowoomba, and one on the Sunshine Coast. As a Hub Manager, you'll be energised by work that combines strategy, collaboration, and tangible community impact. Your day may start with reviewing stakeholder engagement plans and workplans to ensure they align with the Manufacturing Hub Delivery Model and local needs. You could then facilitate industry roundtables, connect manufacturers to skills development and funding opportunities or lead capability-building workshops.

You'll manage a small team of two and oversee a portfolio of programs and initiatives that truly make a difference in your community. Throughout the day, you'll work closely with regional businesses, councils, education institutions, and economic development agencies - curating practical, place-based solutions that support innovation and resilience in the manufacturing sector. You'll provide local insights to help shape government policy and programs, all while representing the Department and advocating for Queensland's manufacturing future.

We're seeking experienced professionals with a strong background in manufacturing, industry development, or place-based engagement. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the manufacturing sector, strong stakeholder engagement skills across government, industry, and education, and experience designing and delivering regional programs or events. You'll have the ability to provide strategic advice, influence policy, attract investment, and lead a small, high-performing team to drive local outcomes.

To apply, please submit:
• A current resume (3-4 pages).
• A brief cover letter (1-2 pages) outlining your experience detailed in the role profile under "How to apply".
