Sunraysia Community Health Services (SCHS) is seeking a dynamic and experienced health leader to join our Executive Team as the General Manager – Primary Care and Nursing.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, this pivotal executive role is a member of both the Executive and Operational Leadership Teams and is responsible for the design, leadership, and evaluation of our Primary Care and Nursing programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic and operational leadership across SCHS Primary Care and Nursing portfolios

Drive coordination, improvement, and innovation across multidisciplinary teams

Lead business development, strategic planning, and implementation

Monitor internal and external environments to identify emerging risks and opportunities

Actively participate in external partnerships and advocacy, particularly around the Social Determinants of Health

Support effective consumer engagement and service design

Develop and implement an organisational Nursing Professional Framework, including scope of practice, advanced practice credentialing, and workforce planning

Provide professional and clinical leadership for all SCHS nursing services

Oversee infection control advice and systems across all sites

What you’ll bring:

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with a minimum 5 year’s experience in a senior nursing leadership role

Post Graduate qualifications Nursing and/or public health and/or administration

Extensive knowledge and experience in applying leadership development and engagement interventions and frameworks at a senior level, preferably in a health setting

Knowledge and experience in applying a range of evidence informed tools and approaches to building and sustaining high performing teams.

Experience in clinical supervision of staff and students

Demonstrated understanding of the social model of health and its application in health policy

Demonstrated experience in developing, monitoring and reporting on budgets

Demonstrated high Level writing skills including experience in producing high level documents such as service reports, business case’s and grant applications

Knowledge and experience in the planning, delivery and evaluation of primary care services.

Demonstrated commitment to provision of client focussed care

A critical and creative thinker with strong analytical, planning and evaluation skills and experience
