East Coast Energy Solutions is currently seeking an experienced and motivated electrician to join our team in Cairns. As a locally owned and operated business, we specialise in high-quality solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions across Far North Queensland.

The Role

You’ll work on a wide variety of projects alongside a skilled team, contributing to the installation and commissioning of premium energy systems. Your responsibilities will include:

Installation of solar and battery systems including Tesla, Sungrow, BYD, and SigEnergy

Installation of EV charging systems for homes and businesses

Switchboard upgrades, relocations, and general electrical works

Fault finding, system testing, and maintenance

Delivering clear communication and outstanding service to clients

Adhering to all safety standards, company procedures, and compliance requirements

What We’re Looking For

A current QLD Electrical Licence

A sound understanding of electrical safety and Australian Standards

Experience in solar and battery installations (preferred but not essential – training provided)

Familiarity with Ergon QECM (or willingness to obtain)

A strong work ethic and attention to detail

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

A professional, team-oriented attitude
