In this role, you will:
- Deliver our bespoke learning program developed in collaboration with global leaders in pedagogical practice
- Build and encourage a talented team of early learning professionals, sharing your knowledge and contributing to a culture of reflective practice and ongoing improvement
- Work with your team to plan for the future of your centre, building the attendance pipeline and maintaining a revenue-generating business
About Goodstart Cheltenham:
- Set in a beautiful heritage-listed building, our 90-place centre offers five spacious, age-based indoor learning environments and three nature-inspired outdoor play areas, all nestled on a quiet, tree-lined street in the heart of Cheltenham.
- The centre is within walking distance of Southland Shopping Centre, Cheltenham Primary School and Southland Train Station, offering both convenience and connection to the local community.
- You'll be leading a passionate and longstanding team, many with 10-15+ years of experience, including two bachelor-qualified kindergarten teachers, Assistant Director and Educational Leader.
- Our environments are warm, homely, and thoughtfully designed to support play-based, holistic learning—both indoors and out—featuring sensory play spaces, a nursery yard, and renovated playgrounds that include a mud patch, sandpit, veggie gardens, worm farm, and more.
- We offer a dedicated space for mindful movement, where children practice yoga, meditation and explore emotional wellbeing through age-appropriate books and activities.
- Our diverse team of educators speak a range of languages—including Bengali, Spanish, Greek, French, Indian, Mandarin and Sri Lankan—ensuring inclusive practices and a strong sense of belonging for every family.
- As Centre Director, you'll receive a tailored induction, coaching support from a dedicated Centre Support Coach, and access to a network of nearby Goodstart centres to share ideas, collaborate, and grow as a leader.

You'll need:
- A Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (or working towards)
- Experience with leading and managing change within education
- Proven commercial acumen with financial and operational performance management
