Salary Range: $53.71 to $77.35 per hour pending experience

About the role
St Catherine's Catholic College, The Whitsundays is seeking an experienced First Nations Education Teacher, commencing as soon as practicable. This role is a part time, fixed term position completing 14 hours per week for the remainder of the 2025 teaching year. Days and times negotiable.
The role of the First Nations Education Teacher is to assist the Principal and Leadership Team in the areas of Curriculum, Pastoral Care and Community Engagement. The First Nations Education Teacher works cooperatively and in collaboration with school leadership personnel, teachers, First Nations Education Workers, student support services team members and Parents/Carers to ensure our First Nations students are supported to engage purposefully in learning. The role holder will work to develop the capability within the college to cater to the diversity of these learners within the school population. The First Nations Education Teacher will work proactively to embed First Nation Education Initiatives within the College setting.

Mandatory Criteria/Professional Registration/Other
Appropriate Tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers
Current Driver’s Licence
Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
