The Role

We are looking for a senior level Social Planner responsible for:

Managing and delivering a range of social planning services including Social Impact Assessment, Social Impact Comment, Consultation and Engagement Strategies, Engagement Outcomes Reports and Social Impact Management Plans to support a range of projects, including State Significant Development.

Acting as Project Lead to liaise with clients and maintain communication between staff and clients for all social planning services.

Developing fee proposals for new projects and managing internal workflows, invoices and reporting.

Contributing to the development and maintenance of our QA system and support business development, with a focus on targeted sectors.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for an experienced Social Planner who meets the following criteria:

Has a social science, geography, planning, or related degree which is a 'suitable qualification' in accordance with the NSW Social Impact Assessment Guideline (July 2025).

Over 5 years proven experience over multiple roles and substantial competence in social science research methods and SIA practices.

Eligibility for membership of a relevant professional organisation, such as the International Association of Impact Assessment, Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand, Planning Institute of Australia, and/or Australasian Evaluation Society

Experinece in designing and implementing community consultation strategies and programs.

Possess project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage a project within agreed timeframes, budgets and quality goals.

Demonstrates excellent verbal, visual and written communication skills with proven team leadership capability.
