The role

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Daytime Cleaner to join our team at Jungle Zoo Early Learning Centre in the Whitsundays, Queensland. As a casual Daytime Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our early learning center, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our children and staff.

Key responsibilities

Thoroughly clean shared spaces on a daily basis

Restock and replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials

Identify and report any maintenance or repair issues to the nominated supervisor

Process daily laundry including linen, towels and bibs

Collaborate with the team to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the center

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role, preferably within an educational or childcare setting

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness

Ability to work efficiently and independently, with minimal supervision

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Knowledge of safe and effective cleaning methods and the use of cleaning equipment and supplies

A keen eye for identifying and addressing potential hazards or maintenance issues

Must hold a current QLD Working with Children Blue Card and Police Check
