Join the Heart 2 Art Team – Casual Workshop Facilitator (Fashion Design, Pattern Making, Sewing and Construction) Are you a local creative with experience working with NDIS participants? Do you enjoy supporting others to express themselves, build confidence, and connect with the community through hands-on creativity?

Heart 2 Art is seeking experienced, community-minded individuals to join our team of Creative Mentors, with a current focus on Fashion Design, Pattern Making, Sewing and Construction. We work with participants of all ages and abilities through the NDIS, using art as a tool for social and community engagement.

About the Role

You’ll support participants in:

Developing creative and practical skills through projects across a wide range of creative disciplines

Building independence and confidence in a safe, inclusive environment

Engaging in meaningful, community-based creative experiences

Sessions take place:

1:1 or in small groups (up to 10 participants)

In studios, participant homes, or community venues

Across Brisbane, Gold Coast, and North East NSW regions

About You

We’re looking for people who:

Have practical skills in sewing, and/or textiles, fashion design, pattern making.

Have demonstrable experience in any of the creative practices listed above (and/or facilitation), or have experience or interest in working with people with disability or mental health support needs

Are positive, patient and adaptable

Are confident guiding creative activities in a calm, flexible way

Have a Cert III in Apparel, Fashion and Textiles and/or Individual Support and/or Community Services

(but not essential)

You’ll Need

Current Blue Card & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

First Aid Certificate

Driver’s licence and reliable transport

Ability to use apps for basic reporting

Bonus (but not essential):

Experience with creative mentoring, studio programs or teaching art
