About us:

East West Master Plumbers is a family-owned and operated Plumbing Company in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne, specializing in Volume New Homes. Due to expansion and growth, we are seeking a Full-Time Accounts Receivable Clerk to assist with the day-to-day management of our accounts as well as various other administrative tasks.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

• Processing of payments, credit notes, refunds and cash receipts
• Handling customer enquiries regarding accounts receivable
• Raising and sending invoices to customers
• Posting payments to customer accounts
• Tracking overdue invoices and following up on them
• Data entry of accounts receivable transactions into the general ledger
• Reconciliation of accounts
• Monthly reporting on accounts receivables
• Following up on returned mail to ensure customer databases are up to date
• Generation of and mail out of monthly statements
• Ad-hoc duties as required

Successful Applicant Must Have:

• Experience in a similar bookkeeping role
• A tertiary qualification in a related field is beneficial but not essential
• Proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of cashbook, AR, GL, intercompany, accruals, journal processing and GL reconciliations
• Experience in MYOB Advance or Xero is an advantage
• Strong communication and time management skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team to achieve results
