About the role

Shapland Swim Schools Everton Park is seeking a qualified teacher or a traniee swim teacher to join our team of dedicated professionals at our swim school located in Everton Park, Warner, Taigum and Kallangur, QLD. This is an opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Must be available to work mornings, evenings and weekends as required

What you'll be doing

Providing high-quality swimming lessons to swimmers of all ages and abilities

Developing and implementing lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of each student

Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students during lessons

Maintaining accurate student records and providing feedback to parents/guardians

Assisting with the setup and pack-up of equipment as needed

Ongoing professional development

What we're looking for

Current ASCTA or AUSTSWIM or AMPD qualification (or equivalent international certification) trainee teacher who will be gaining the qualification through us.

If an experienced teacher preferably able to teach to a range of age groups and skill levels, from babies through to stroke correction.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students

A passion for swimming and a commitment to providing a positive and enriching learning experience for students

A current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

Current Blue Card (Working With Children Check) or ability to obtain one

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Your wages will be paid according to Fair work fitness industry award in relation to age and experience.
