Bellarine Bayside Foreshore Committee of Management (Bellarine Bayside) is a not-for-profit, Category 1 coastal Committee of Management established under the Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978 by the Victorian Government in 1994. Bellarine Bayside is responsible for managing and protecting 200 hectares of Crown land stretching along 17 kilometres of coastline from Portarlington, through Indented Head to St Leonards containing significant natural, cultural, heritage and social values along the northern Bellarine Peninsula.

The Planning and Environment team are responsible for strategic planning to guide management of the northern Bellarine foreshore (and other) reserves, and delivering programs and projects that protect and enhance coastal, environmental and cultural values.

The Coastal Conservation Officer will undertake programmed works as a member of the Planning and Environment team to effectively maintain, rehabilitate and enhance coastal and other nature reserves, and support community involvement in environmental programs. This role is central to the delivery of conservation programs including weed and pest management, revegetation, coastal monitoring and supporting volunteer activities.
