About the role

Gerard's Bistro, a popular dining establishment in the vibrant Fortitude Valley neighbourhood, is seeking an experienced Senior Bar and Waitstaff to join our passionate hospitality team. This is a casual position that will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and creating a memorable dining experience for our guests.

What you'll be doing

Providing attentive and engaging table service to customers, ensuring their dining experience is seamless and exceeds their expectations

Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at the bar with speed, efficiency and a friendly demeanour (Bar Staff)

Maintaining a high level of product knowledge to make informed recommendations to customers

Assisting with the setup and breakdown of the dining area, ensuring it is clean, well-stocked and presentable at all times

Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure timely food delivery and a cohesive customer experience

Handling cash and transactions accurately and following all relevant policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (2+ years) in a similar senior bar or waitstaff role within the hospitality industry

Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to provide a warm, friendly and professional dining experience

Strong product knowledge, particularly of wines, cocktails and other beverages is desirable

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays

A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality service
