About the role

Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to deliver clinical pharmacy expertise as a key member of a multidisciplinary team within the hospital, with the focus of promoting the safe and effective use of analgesia in keeping with the above concept of Opioid Stewardship, and in alignment with the Opioid Analgesic Stewardship in Acute Pain Clinical Care Standard.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Utilise high levels of knowledge and independent professional judgement to practice autonomously and facilitate the provision of complex clinical decision-making regarding analgesic use across multiple specialties, based on the interpretation of reliable evidence-based practice where available.
• Work cooperatively and effectively within a team, across Redcliffe Hospital, Metro North Hospital Health Service and the continuum of care with little or no direct supervision.
• Engage with the multidisciplinary team (e.g. Clinical Nurse, Administration Officer, Pharmacy) in planning and undertaking aspects of the Service.
