We are a General Practice located in Aspley and provide a professional, respectful and enjoyable work environment. We are supported by a Principal Clinician, General Practitioners, Practice Manager, Visiting Specialists and Reception Staff.

As our Registered Nurse, you will need to display excellent bedside manner when dealing with patients as well as astute administrative skills. Your core responsibility will be to provide support to doctors in administering patient care.

Our Practice is open from Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm. As the clinic grows, there will be optional evenings or weekends available. For the right candidate, an option is also available to complete 3-4 shifts per week if you prefer to work part time (please note in your covering letter if this is preferential for you).

Your key duties will include:

Supporting our GPs with conducting basic patient observations as well as procedures including removal of sutures, wound care, and dressings (or similar)

Undertaking daily maintenance of the treatment room, verifying stock inventory and management of medical equipment and consumable supplies

Facilitate child and adult immunisations as well as Covid vaccinations

Follow up phone calls to patients as needed or answering incoming phone calls if required as well as sending out recalls and reminders to patients

Ability to maintain and supervise cold chain management

Supervising the administering of Iron Infusions

Provide support in ordering medical supplies and vaccines

Support the Practice to meet the standards required to maintain accreditation

Assist the Practice Manager or Reception Staff as needed

It will be highly regarded if you possess:

Previous experience in a General Practice

Demonstrated experience in Best Practice clinical management software

Prior experience in facilitating Chronic disease management including the development of care plans and health assessments

AHPRA Registration

CPR and First Aid certifications

Immunisation certification

Permanent right to work in Australia and current QLD registration

Working with Children accreditation incl. National Police Check (or willing to provide)

Proficient computer and admin skills
