At University IT, we drive innovation to support UWA’s teaching, research, and operational excellence. As part of our Test and Release Team, you will support the University’s technology transformation by ensuring the quality and reliability of digital solutions across enterprise systems.

About the opportunity

• You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of digital solutions during the transition phase - designing, executing, and managing testing activities, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve any issues.
• Be instrumental in maintaining high standards of testing practices and contributing to the successful delivery of digital projects,
• Spearhead both Manual and Test Automation, driving the adoption, implementation, and optimisation of automation frameworks and strategies to enhance testing efficiency, coverage, and accuracy across all digital solutions.

About you

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for digital solutions, encompassing both software development projects and infrastructure upgrades related projects, to ensure thorough testing coverage.
• Perform both manual and automated testing to verify the functionality, performance, and usability of new digital solutions.
• Act as the SME for the automation testing tool (e.g. Katalon), providing expertise, guidance, and best practices for the testing team. Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of automation frameworks and ensure that automation strategies align with project goals and objectives.
• Develop and write full automation test scripts for complex test scenarios, ensuring that the automation framework is robust, scalable, and able to handle intricate test cases. Implement advanced scripting techniques to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and reusable test scripts, focusing on both functionality and integration testing across various systems.
• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for digital solutions, encompassing both software development projects and infrastructure upgrades related projects, to ensure thorough testing coverage.
• Perform both manual and automated testing to verify the functionality, performance, and usability of new digital solutions.
• Collaborate with the technical teams and other project stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure alignment with testing objectives.
