What is the role:

Providing strategic legal advice and risk management in the area of workers' compensation. This role will play a key part in shaping legal frameworks, managing litigation strategies, and ensuring high-quality legal outcomes for the business. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective legal solutions while driving continuous improvement in legal processes.

The varied work mix will include:

• Provide high-quality, timely legal advice to support business decisions and minimise legal risk.
• Oversee high-risk common law claims to mitigate business and legal exposure.
• Work closely with external legal providers.
• Deliver legal education programs to internal stakeholders to enhance risk awareness.
• Research and advise on legislative changes, emerging trends, and legal innovation.
• Collaborate on strategic projects to support business objectives.

Who is suitable:

• 5+ Years PAE
• Admitted as a Lawyer in QLD
• Experience defending Personal Injuries claims and working on Workers Compensation matters
• Strong knowledge of statutory and common law claims processes
