About the Role
The Health and Children’s Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and coordination of Health and Children’s Services that support the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal children and families. This includes oversight of services such as Allied Health, Health Promotion, Koori Maternity Services, Child Health Nurse, Midwifery, and the Australian Family Partnership Program (AFPP).
About You
To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
· A relevant tertiary qualification in Management, Health, Early Years, Nursing.
· Demonstrated experience in leadership or management within Health or Early Years, preferably in Aboriginal contexts.
· A demonstrated knowledge of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and culture and an understanding of factors that influence their health and wellbeing.
· Knowledge of or experience with the Australian Family Partnership Program, Koori Maternity Services, or similar Early Years Programs.
· Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, support, and develop a multidisciplinary workforce.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build respectful relationships with Aboriginal families, staff, and external stakeholders.
· The ability to work comfortably under pressure whilst multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience in managing health teams and allied health professionals.
· The ability to make informed decisions whilst maintaining confidentiality and being able to balance priorities under pressure with efficiency and professionalism.

· Salary packaging of $15,900 available for Part- or Full-time employees.
