Are you experienced in transport operations and thrive in a busy, dynamic environment?
We are currently seeking a Customer Service Officer to join our growing team and provide exceptional service to our clients in the wharf and road transport industry.
As a key point of contact between our clients and operations, your quick thinking, strong communication skills, and attention to detail will help ensure smooth delivery operations and high service standards.
đź§ About the Role
Reporting to the Transport Manager, your role will include:
Communicating proactively with clients regarding job updates, delays or issues
Responding to incoming queries via phone and email professionally and efficiently
Assisting drivers with paperwork and resolving on-road issues
Monitoring bookings and online job allocations
Raising charges (futile, redirections, etc.) where applicable
Issuing damage notifications (DMAs) and following up with clients
Escalating complex client issues when necessary
Supporting internal teams with administrative tasks
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
✅ What You’ll Need
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fleet or transport office environment
A strong understanding of Melbourne’s road networks
Sound knowledge of vehicle weights, dimensions, and capacities
Proficient computer skills and ability to adapt to various transport systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple priorities
Customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail
A professional, confident, and solutions-driven mindset
