We’re looking for an experienced and detail-focused Building Certifier or Approvals Manager who thrives in an office-based role, managing all things compliance, certification, and council approvals.

About the Role:

This is a key role within our compliance and delivery team. You will take ownership of the end-to-end certification process, from preparing and lodging applications through to coordinating final inspections and obtaining approvals. You’ll also ensure our builds meet all council and legislative requirements, with a focus on modular buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit building applications and supporting documentation for council and private certifier approval

Manage the full certification and sign-off process from factory to final inspection

Liaise with private certifiers, councils, consultants, and engineers

Track and manage all approvals, inspections, and compliance documentation

Conduct or coordinate final inspections and ensure sign-off aligns with scope

Provide internal advice on BCA/NCC compliance for modular construction

Maintain and update registers for approvals, documentation, and certifications

Coordinate with project managers, factory supervisors, and external bodies

Ensure documentation is prepared accurately and on time

Support continuous improvement of approval workflows and compliance systems

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Building Certifier, Approvals Officer, or Building Compliance Manager

Strong working knowledge of QLD building legislation, BCA/NCC, and council processes

Demonstrated success in preparing, managing, and submitting approvals

Excellent attention to detail and understanding of modular building practices (advantageous)

Ability to liaise professionally with certifiers, councils, and internal teams

Comfortable in a fast-paced, office-based role with clear deliverables

Strong admin/document control skills and ability to self-manage workload

Relevant certifications/licences highly regarded
