Combined Spectus Monitoring Pty Ltd is seeking a Control Room Operator to join the team at our Balcatta Monitoring Centre.

The position involves:
Responding to alarm and video messages.
Data entry and verification.
Running reports and other general office tasks.
The job is an inside customer service type role, not patrolling or investigating alarms and incidents.

Skills and experience

Preference will be given to applicants with previous control room or industry experience.

This position is full time shift work and involves weekend and night work. There is the potential for shift patterns to be flexible. Generally 7 day fortnight, 8 day fortnight or 9 day fortnight shift patterns, based on 8, 10 and 12 hour shifts.

Pay is based on shifts worked as per award rates, hence yearly income can vary greatly. There is often over time available but not guaranteed.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

Strong customer service experience (previous call center experience is advantageous)

An excellent phone manner, with a polite, friendly, and positive attitude

Strong communication, literacy, and numeracy skills; with a high level of attention to detail

Strong organizational skills; the ability to multi-task and prioritize duties

Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities

Resilience, must be able to deal with challenging scenarios

The ability to work as part of a team, or independently when required

Intermediate Microsoft Office, and general IT/Typing skills

You must:

have intermediate computer skills

be adaptable, flexible, and receptive to change

be responsible, reliable, and a solid team player

have a positive attitude and calm demeanor

be customer service focused

be comfortable and confident in dealing with high pressure situations

be available to work a rotating roster (Days/Nights/Weekends - 8-12hr shifts); additional shifts available sometimes

be a quick thinker and fast learner

have your own transport

hold or be able to obtain Security license
