Located in Melbourne’s inner south-east, this Early Learning Centre currently caters to around 40 children and has exciting plans for significant growth in the coming years. The Centre is seeking a Head of ELC to provide stability, visionary leadership, and drive this next phase of development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ELC to deliver exceptional educational and operational outcomes.
• Represent the ELC to the broader school community and external stakeholders.
• Drive occupancy growth and lead marketing initiatives for the Centre.
• Prepare reports and present to the Board.
• Build strong relationships with families and staff, fostering a warm, collaborative environment.
• Support day-to-day operations, including stepping in to assist with staffing when required.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory frameworks and uphold the highest standards of care and education.

This is a full-time role during school terms, offering the perfect balance for a senior leader who values school community life.

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a proven leader with:

• Current VIT registration.
• Extensive leadership experience in early childhood settings
• The ability to manage staffing, compliance, marketing, and parent engagement confidently.
• Strong communication skills and emotional resilience to handle dynamic team environments.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and ability to “wear many hats.”
• Comfort working within a traditional and professional school culture.
