We have a number of vacancies opening up for Disability Support Workers with our growing clientele base . We support individuals to pursue their interests and dreams, develop new skills, achieve their lifestyle goals and be valued as equal citizens in the community.
We want to employ people who reflect the diversity of our clients to ensure we can support each client's individual needs and wants. We encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and people with disability to apply.
Your role may involve providing assistance with all aspects of daily living including: meals, personal care, assistance with everyday household tasks, meaningful engagement within their home, engaging in the community (including but not limited to).
What we require:
Successful applicants will be flexible in their working hours, possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate personal attributes and qualities to provide exceptional support and care to people with disability individually and within a team
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- Working with Children Check. (or willing to obtain)
- Current First Aid training
- Current CPR training
- International police check (if applicable)
- Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate or Immunisation evidence required
- Access to a car and drivers licence
Personal attributes:
- A positive, reliable, empathetic and proactive approach to supporting people of all ages and backgrounds living with a disability;
- Applicants who are compassionate, empathetic, understanding and exhibit self-initiative
- Proficiency in English, with strong communication skills and active listening for instructions
