In this role you will work closely with our junior accountants and amazing administration team – the true heart and soul of Walshs, assisting clients with any queries.

What will you do?

· Ongoing communication with clients: handling any non-advice related queries via phone and email including booking tax meetings and requesting the necessary information from clients.

· Coordinate and prepare required documents for new and existing clients on behalf of the accountant.

· Managing confidential client information

· Complete tax file setups

· Maintaining a positive relationship between the client and Walshs

· Liaise with banks, insurance providers, brokers, and super funds to request client information, as well as other accountants and financial advisers.

· Drafting of official letters

· Produce reports as requested.

· Maintain adequate and accurate records and file notes

· Australian Taxation Office: general correspondence, deferral requests, lodgements lists, Division 293, ECC, remission requests etc.

· Manage client list due dates

· Ad hoc administrative work

· Monitoring job flow for clients/accountants

· Answering incoming phone calls

· Reception assistance as needed

What you need:

1-2 years’ experience in a client service role, accounting preferred but not required

High level communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Flexible and highly organized

Willing to learn

Team player

Qualifications:

· Secondary education required
