Working with an organisation in Altona, we are looking for an experienced end to end Senior Payroll Officer to join the team. This role is 0.8 FTE - 4 days per week (or full time for the right person)

This role would suit someone with 4+ years of experience running complex end to end payroll processes over several different EBA's and a person who is passionate about payroll and growing their skills in this field.

The role:

• Effectively processing end to end payroll across weekly, fortnightly and monthly pay runs

• Facilitating payroll adjustments for salary increments, setting up new hires, calculation and processing of termination payment and other deductions

• Assist with month end process and reconciliations, including information for superannuation, payroll tax and workcover payments

• Attending to payroll queries in a timely manner and assisting with any payroll projects that are happening in the payroll department

• Provide timely, accurate payroll advice and support to employees and managers.

• Working across a large number of awards and EBAs, interpreting where appropriate

The right candidate will have:

• 4+ years end to end payroll experience

• Experience processing pay runs of over 300 employees

• Experience using ADP or Mitrefinch T&A - required

• Experience using multiple awards and the ability to interpret multiple EBAs - required

• A passion for payroll and a want to learn and grow your skillset

• High attention to detail and accuracy skills

• Great communication skills and the ability to form good internal relationships

• Intermediate to advanced excel skills - Ability to do Vlook up - required

• 0.8 FTE or Full time for the right person.

• Flexibility - for an early or later start/finish, one day working from home.

• Salary of $107,000 + super pro rata
