We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced OOSH Educator to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who understands children’s needs, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys creating fun, engaging and inclusive experiences for school-aged children.

As a non-profit, community based organisation we offer high quality, flexible children’s services to the families of Ballina and surrounding areas. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an OOSHC Educator to join us in a permanent part-time role.

About the role:

Support the daily operation of Before School, After School, and/or Vacation Care programs

Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, schools, and colleagues

Contribute to program planning using My Time Our Place (MTOP) and child-led approaches

Champion safety, wellbeing, and inclusion across all aspects of service delivery

Assist in developing routines, behaviour guidance, and enrichment activities

We're looking for someone who:

Has experience working in OOSH, schools, or similar child-focused settings

Brings leadership experience or mentoring capability

Communicates with warmth, clarity, and professionalism

Is reliable, flexible, and values teamwork

To be considered, applicants must hold (or be working towards) the following:

An ACECQA-approved qualification for School Age Care such as:

Certificate III or Diploma in School Age Education and Care

Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care

A teaching degree (Early Childhood, Primary, or Secondary)

Working With Children Check (WWCC)

HLTAID012 – First Aid in an education and care setting

Child Protection Training:

CHCPRT001 – Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
OR CHCPRT025 – Identify and report children and young people at risk
