About the role
We are on the lookout for individuals who are eager to make a positive impact in the lives of others. As a practitioner with JMS, you will provide critical and meaningful support for individuals facing emotional regulation challenges. Your role will be to improve your clients quality of life and personal well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the functional causes of challenging behaviours

Develop and implement tailored behaviour support plans to address the specific needs of each client

Provide direct support and training to clients, their families, and support staff to ensure effective implementation of behaviour support strategies

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to coordinate and deliver holistic care

Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behaviour support interventions, making adjustments as needed

Maintain detailed client records and contribute to the development of policies and procedures

Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in the field

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.

A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Education, or another relevant field.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Experience or similar in conducting and writing functional behaviour assessments, developing positive behaviour support plans, and evaluating their effectiveness through data collection and analysis.

A strong ethical compass and dedication to high-quality, individualised service delivery.

Proficient in data collection, analysis, and report writing

Current Driver's License.

NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Working with Children Check

Police Check.

Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’.

A strong commitment to ethical practice and a person-centred approach

Lived Experience (highly desirable).
