KSC Claims is a veteran-founded organisation dedicated to supporting Australian Defence Force (ADF) veterans in navigating the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) claims process. Founded by ADF veterans Luke Armstrong and Matt Dumars, KSC specialises in delivering high-quality advocacy and claims support, including Initial Liability submissions, Permanent Impairment assessments, and claims management under the VEA, MRCA, and DRCA. Role Description
KSC is seeking a dedicated Veterans Intake Coordinator for a Part-Time or Full-Time position based in Brisbane City, QLD. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for veterans seeking assistance. Your responsibilities will include supporting veterans through the early stages of their DVA claims, preparing and lodging Initial Liability submissions, coordinating appointments, and liaising with DVA on their behalf. This role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and attention to detail, along with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of those who have served.
Qualifications
Knowledge of the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 (MRCA)
Experience in drafting documents, reviewing claims eligibility, and liaising with DVA
Understanding of the Initial Liability claims process and appeals procedures
Strong advocacy and communication skills
Empathy, sensitivity, and patience in dealing with veterans
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
Relevant qualifications in law, social work, psychology, or related fields

Eligibility
Candidates must be full working rights for Australia
Experience working with veterans organisations (RSL or similar ESO's) or Government
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre screening psychological exam to ensure stability for role
