About the role

Brothers Mining Maintenance are currently seeking experienced Heavy Duty (HD) Fitters to join our Perth-based and site-based teams for an immediate start.

As an HD Fitter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the heavy machinery and equipment essential to our mining operations. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our company.

What you'll be doing

Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of heavy-duty equipment, including haul trucks, excavators, loaders, and other mining machinery

Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, working closely with other team members to ensure efficient operations

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment

Contribute to the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs

Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to identify and address equipment performance issues

Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work performed

What we're looking for

Qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a mining or heavy industry environment

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team

Commitment to safety and a proven track record of working in a safe manner

Valid driver's licence and the ability to obtain the necessary site access and safety credentials

Experience with CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, and/or Liebherr equipment is essential

Ability to pass pre-employment medical examination and drug screening

Full Australian working rights are required for this position

Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent trade qualification
