About the role

Headland Technology Pty Ltd, a leading provider of advanced automation solutions, is seeking a CNC Field Service Engineer to join our talented team. In this full-time role based in Burwood, VIC, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and maintenance for our clients' CNC machinery and automation systems.

What you'll be doing

Performing on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs of Industrial CNC machines and related equipment

Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex technical issues, implementing effective solutions

Providing training and guidance to clients on the proper operation and care of their CNC systems

Documenting all work performed and maintaining detailed service records

Liaising with the engineering and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction

Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our service offerings

What we're looking for

Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a CNC Field Service Engineer or in a similar technical role

Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, with a solid understanding of Industrial CNC machine technology

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively liaise with clients

Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed

Relevant technical certifications, qualifications and/or experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
