With multiple sites across Australian and New Zealand, each are licensed by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) to manufacture and distribute products throughout Australia, and by the Ministry of Health in New Zealand.
About the role:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will be part of a small, dedicated team responsible for maintaining all of our clients’ manufacturing infrastructure and equipment, including; particle accelerating Cyclotrons, shielded laboratory isolators, automated synthesizers and various other items of sensitive, precision laboratory equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support operational staff when issues arise during and after production, as instructed by the Service Manager.
- Install new equipment while ensuring that they work safely and correctly.
- Participate in executing and further developing our clients’ preventative and planned maintenance program (PPMP)
- Assist with the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new infrastructure and equipment.
- Update and maintain Fiix Computerised Maintenance Management System.
- Develop and report on trends in services, including any exceptions and deficiencies.
- Assist Principal Engineer and Service Manager where necessary with system monitoring and breakdowns and new equipment installations.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and equipment diagnostics on a regular basis.
- Produce reports with trends of service and performance data, including any exceptions and deficiencies.
- Assist with facility maintenance and completion of compliance checks/inspections.
- Escalate issues to managers accurately and promptly.
- Maintaining engineering inventory and equipment to ensure adequate supplies, area well organised and equipment in good operating condition.
- Liaise with all contracted Engineers and external service providers ensuring compliance with company procedures.
To be considered for the role, the ideal candidates must have:
- Trade qualification, diploma or degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in maintaining industrial, medical or laboratory instrumentation
- Familiarity with WHS and radiation safety protocols in technical environments
- Experience with radiopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment or QC equipment (desirable)
- Strong technical troubleshooting and fault resolution skills
- Proficient computer and analytical skills, experience in the comprehension of mechanical design plans and diagrams
- Ability to work in confined spaces and work outside normal rostering patterns as required to support time-critical patient supply
- Attention to detail and accuracy with an ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work within deadlines.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
