About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Qualified Carpenter to join our team.
Specialising in residential and modular construction, our projects predominantly involve steel frames, so experience with steel framing will be highly regarded but not essential.
We want someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working in a team environment to deliver high quality homes. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of residential projects, including new & modular builds.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret plans and specifications to determine material and construction requirements.

Construct and install steel and timber frames, trusses, flooring, cladding, doors, windows, stairs, cabinetry, and other structural elements.

Work with steel framing systems (experience highly regarded but not essential).

Work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, and site supervisors.

Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely and professionally.

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Australian Building Standards (NCC) and local council regulations.

Adhere to Work Health & Safety (WHS) guidelines to maintain a safe and efficient worksite.

Skills & Qualifications:

Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent qualification).

Proven experience in residential construction including new builds.

Experience with steel framing is highly regarded but not essential.

A strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship

Ability to work well within a team environment.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and building plans.

Strong knowledge of frame construction, roofing, cladding, and finishing work.

Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

White Card (Construction Induction Card).

Current driver’s licence and reliable transport.

Preferred but Not Essential:

Experience in steel frame construction, roofing, cabinetry, or detailed finishing work.

Knowledge of energy efficient building methods and modern materials.

Additional licences or certifications, such as Working at Heights or First Aid.
