About the role:
Lumia Care, is seeking for an experienced compassion community worker in Croydon suburbs with availability Monday to Saturday (AM & PM shift).

Role responsibilities:

Provide high-level care, including experience with MND, Autism, suppository management, PEG tube (water and bolus feed), wheelchair, hoist transfer, manual handling and condom catheter care.

Support clients in the community with social engagement, transportation to appointments shopping or outings.

Provide personal care to clients with dignity and respect such as assisting with showering, grooming and dressing.

Continue to support clients to live in their own home by providing help with their domestic assistance, meal preparation, cleaning and most importantly, companionship.

Providing support while interacting with the client’s service dog to ensure optimal care

What we are looking for:

A passionate, caring and empathetic personality is a MUST.

Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent.

Willingness to learn new skills on the job through training.

Experience in either aged care disability or community.

Experience with high care and dementia clients MND or ASD is highly desirable.

A valid driver's license and own vehicle is a MUST.

A registered vehicle with 6 airbags is a MUST

Current First Aid certificate (mandatory) or willing to obtain.

Current Police Check (mandatory) or willing to obtain.

NDIS Worker screening check or willing to obtain.

Working with Children Check or willing to obtain.
